Global Freight relied on spreadsheets and disjointed tracking systems to manage their global fleet. We designed and developed a unified smart dashboard that integrated directly with GPS trackers and customs APIs, providing real-time visibility into the entire supply chain.
We began with an intensive UI/UX design phase, shadowing dispatchers to understand their pain points. The resulting design consolidated five different tools into one centralized, map-based interface powered by the Mapbox API.
The backend aggregated disparate data streams—from IoT sensors on shipping containers to port authority APIs—into a normalized PostgreSQL database. This allowed for real-time alerting when shipments deviated from their planned routes or temperature thresholds.
Dispatchers were tracking a global fleet using disjointed tools and spreadsheets, causing delays in identifying route deviations and resulting in missed delivery windows.
We developed a centralized, real-time tracking dashboard utilizing the Mapbox API and IoT sensor data, enabling proactive route management and instant alerting.
